Waste wood processing

The efficient and economical processing of waste wood requires systems to be adapted to a wide range of challenges. This is because this valuable resource, the processing of which is becoming increasingly important, extends to many areas such as bulky waste wood from separate collection, industrial waste wood (wood residues from woodworking or wood processing companies such as the furniture industry as well as composite materials from flooring/panel production), wooden packaging such as pallets, crates, cable drums, construction and demolition wood such as solid wood, chipboard, formwork wood or even doors, windows, construction timber and railway sleepers.

High qualities and throughputs with low operating costs are required in order to fully utilise the potential of wood as a recyclable material. Waste wood is mainly utilised both as an energy source (combustion in biomass power plants) and as a material (wood-based materials industry). It can also be utilised for other purposes, e.g. composting or as mulch.
