On Monday we welcomed Prof. Dr.-Ing. Holger Lieberwirth of the Processing Machines and Recycling Systems Engineering Department (IART) of the TU Bergakademie Freiberg University – together with two other Doctors of Engineering and 10 students in the 6th-8th year of college. In the final period of their diploma, bachelor or master studies, the soon-to-be experts take intensive courses in the field of processing machines in the mechanical engineering/process engineering program. Courses focussing on coarse and fine shredders, separating, mixing and sorting machines etc. are part of the daily routine at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg.
From History to the Latest Machines
The event took place on the Calbe premises and lasted several hours. At the beginning, proprietor Ferdinand Doppstadt, HR manager Marco Mende and engineering and design team leader Christian Wegener presented the Doppstadt Group’s story, background and product range. After that Ferdinand Doppstadt showed the visitors around the production facility and provided them an insight into various production areas and procedures and answered their questions. But the highlights were outside, on the open air ground: Splendid machines such as the INVENTHOR, SM, METHOR and AK waiting to be visited. At the different stations, the members of our engineering and design, applications engineering and product training teams explained the machines and their technical equipment and procedural solutions.
