DESIGN AWARD FOR „HUSKY“ STUDY

A reduced design, masculine details, robust, smart and an overall impression of inspiring confidence - this is how the Bergische Universität Wuppertal describes the futuristic „HUSKY“ concept.

The iF World Design Guide has recently conferred it the iF Design Talent Award!

The HUSKY was designed as a diesel-hydraulic work module as part of a thesis at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal. It could be used to maneuver and drive our shredders, it could drive independently and it could autonomously pick up and drive attachment systems. The design – functional and intelligent – suggests willingness to perform and security at the same time. “The idea came together with the entire development department and the product managers. Everyone was able to contribute their experiences and ideas, so that the concept was mature in the end.“ Florian Valentin says. For him, but also for Doppstadt, the renowned award is a great acknowledgement. During his bachelor’s degree studies (industrial design), the 27-year old also collaborated on the METHOR design. “As to the METHOR my main task was to design the operation and handling of the machine, for example the communication between the machine and the user. Regarding the machine appearance I straightened the design in collaboration with the construction engineers.“

Florian Valentin plans to start his master’s thesis (strategic product and innovation management) in october – of course in our company. We are looking forward to his ideas and to the future cooperation!
